
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was fatally struck by a train in upper Manhattan early Tuesday prompting temporary service disruptions, authorities said.
Service along the No. 1 subway line was temporarily disrupted in Upper Manhattan early Tuesday after a person was struck and killed by a train in Washington Heights, according to officials.

At approximately 1:50 a.m., officials received a call for a person being hit by a train at the 191st Street Station in Washington Heights.
Responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene, according to the FDNY.
The man's identity had not been released as of Tuesday morning.
Another person was taken to an area hospital, the FDNY said.
It was unclear how this second person was involved in the incident and the extent of their injuries is unknown.
Service on the 1 train was temporarily suspended in both directions between 137th Street and 215th Street due to the incident but resumed just after 5 a.m., the MTA said.
