NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man was critically injured in a stabbing at a bodega in Queens on Wednesday night, police said.

The victim, said to be a man in his 20s, was stabbed in the back multiple times around 8:15 p.m. at Janey Grocery on 48th Avenue and 46th Street in Sunnyside.

He was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in critical condition.

A person of interest was taken into custody at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the stabbing weren't immediately known, and it's unclear if the victim is a customer or a worker.
