NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man they say robbed two Queens Dollar Tree stores in two days last month.

The first incident occurred on Feb. 26 at around 9:25 p.m. when the suspect entered a Dollar Tree on Metropolitan Avenue in Flushing where he went to the manager’s office with a gun demanding cash, authorities said. A 52-year-old employee complied with the demands and the thief stole $3,300 from the store and fled the scene, police said.

The next day, just before 4 p.m., the same individual entered another Dollar Tree store, this time on Queens Boulevard in Sunnyside and approached a cashier with a gun demanding cash. He then stole $1,318 and fled the store, police said.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
