NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 27-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday to 1 to 3 years in prison for the June 2021 hit-and-run death of "Gone Girl" actor Lisa Banes on the Upper West Side.

Brian Boyd's sentence came after he pleaded guilty in September to manslaughter and leaving the scene of an incident without reporting.

Banes, 65, was struck by Boyd's unregistered electric moped after he darted through a red light at the intersection of West 64th Street and Amsterdam Avenue on the night of June 4, prosecutors said.

Officials said Boyd struck Banes as she walked in the crosswalk, then got back on his moped and fled the scene.

According to court records obtained by the Daily News, Boyd was seen on surveillance video standing up, picking up the moped, and then looking at Barnes, who was lying face down on the pavement.

The outlet reported that after fleeing, he allegedly tried to get his moped fixed.

Banes, who lived in Los Angeles, was reportedly in the city at the time of her death to perform in a two-woman show at the Manhattan Theater Club and was on her way to meet her wife, Kathryn Kranhold, when she was hit.

She died at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital 10 days later. Boyd, who was driving without a license, was arrested that August.

Barnes appeared in movies including "Gone Girl" in 2014 and "Cocktail" in 1988 and on TV shows including "Nashville," "Madam Secretary," "Masters of Sex" and "NCIS."
