
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man seated in the back of a car was shot multiple times in Washington Heights and survived, police said Friday as they released images of the gunman.
Police said the 26-year-old man was sitting in the back of the car at 4126 Broadway when the suspect approached from behind and fired four shots.
The victim was struck twice in the right arm, once in the left arm, and also suffered a graze wound to the face.
The gunman then fled eastbound on West 174th Street toward Wadsworth Avenue.
Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for his injuries.
There were no other reported injuries as a result of this incident.
It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the shooting.
