Man shot in both legs by Bronx gunman on Bronx street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD on Monday released surveillance footage of a gunman sought for shooting a man in both legs on a Bronx street last month.

It happened at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Monday, January 30, in front of 1546 East 233rd St. in Eastchester, officials said.

According to police, the gunman approached a 36-year-old man and asked him to come over to him.

The suspect then discharged a firearm multiple times, striking the victim in both legs.

The armed suspect then entered a black Chevrolet sedan and fled the location traveling eastbound on East 233rd Street.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/ Jacobi in stable condition.

The gunman was last seen wearing a black hat, a white and black hooded sweatshirt and a black hooded winter jacket, white pants and black and white sneakers.
