
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating after a 28-year-old man was slashed during a dispute at a Manhattan subway station on Sunday night, authorities said.
According to police, just before 8:30 p.m., the victim was on the stairs heading into the W 4th subway station in Greenwich Village when he got into a dispute with the suspect.

During the argument, the suspect produced a knife and slashed the victim in the hand, authorities said.
The suspect fled the scene by train at the station, the NYPD said.
EMS treated the victim on the scene where he refused further medical attention.
An investigation is ongoing.
