Man sought in apparent unprovoked slashing on Queens street: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are looking to identify a man wanted in an apparent unprovoked slashing on a Queens street earlier this week, authorities said.

The attack happened at approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, February 21, outside of 42-21 Judge St. in Elmhurst when the suspect approached a 61-year-old man and displayed a knife.

According to police, the suspect proceeded to slash the victim's left forearm, causing a cut and bleeding.

The attacker fled southbound on Judge Street.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.

Police describe the suspect as a male with a light complexion, approximately in his 30s. He was last seen wearing glasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored jeans, and dark-colored sneakers.
