NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was slashed across the forehead at a Brooklyn subway station on Monday morning, police said.

The 25-year-old victim got into an argument with another man, also believed to be in his 20s, on a Queens-bound J train around 2:40 a.m.

The two men got off the train at the Cypress Hills station, where the second man slashed the victim across the forehead.

The victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

Police believe the weapon may have been a boxcutter, but nothing was recovered at the scene.

The suspect fled and was still being sought Monday.

The slashing came less than an hour after a 23-year-old man was stabbed in the chest at the A line’s 111th Street station in South Richmond Hill.

Just hours before that, a 54-year-old man was stabbed in the arm at the 149th Street–Grand Concourse station in the Bronx around 9 p.m. Sunday as he defended a woman who was being harassed on a train.
