Man slashes commuter's neck with boxcutter in Manhattan subway station: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who slashed a 22-year-old man’s neck with a box cutter in a Manhattan subway station on Friday night.

The attacker was arguing with the victim at the 68th Street-Hunter College subway station in Lenox Hill around 9:42 p.m. when he pulled out a boxcutter and cut the left side of the man’s neck, according to officials.

The man, who was wearing a mask over his face at the time, fled on foot after the attack.

Emergency responders brought the victim to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition.
