NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man pointed a gun at a woman on a Brooklyn subway train while smiling and laughing this week, police said Thursday.
The NYPD released images of the man they're for in the case.
The 32-year-old woman was aboard a southbound A train at the Van Siclen Avenue station in East New York just before 1 a.m. Wednesday when he pointed the firearm at her, police said.
The seemingly disturbed suspect was "smiling and laughing" as he brandished the weapon unprovoked, according to police.
The man was last seen leaving the train at the Van Siclen Avenue stop.
The woman was not injured during the frightening run-in.
