NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man is in custody and another is in a hospital after a stabbing that left the victim on the tracks at a Manhattan subway station.

Police said a 52-year-old man was stabbed twice — once in the back and once in the neck — at the Times Square-42nd Street subway station Wednesday just before noon.

The victim ended up on the subway tracks at the N train platform at one point during the fight, cops said. He was not hit by any oncoming trains.

A 27-year-old suspect was arrested, while the other man was taken to a hospital, with their status not known.

What sparked the argument wasn’t immediately clear.

According to the New York Post, the unidentified suspect is due to be charged with attempted murder and has been arrested for stabbings in the past.
