VIDEO: Man who violently robbed teen of shoes at Astoria subway station sought by NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify a man wanted for violently robbing a teen inside a Queens subway station earlier this month, authorities said.

According to police, the suspect approached the 18-year-old man on the northbound R train platform at the Steinway Street subway station in Astoria at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, December 11.

The suspect proceeded to punch and kick the victim before removing his box of shoes and fleeing.

The victim refused medical attention.
