
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man with a baseball bat attacked another man as he walked down a Bronx street, leaving the victim hospitalized in serious condition, police said Tuesday.
The NYPD released video of the suspect they're searching for in last Thursday's assault at West 183rd Street and Aqueduct Avenue in University Heights.
Police said the 37-year-old victim was walking at the intersection shortly before 3 p.m. when a man he didn't know walked up and bashed him over the head with a bat.
The attacker fled, leaving the victim bloodied and bruised at the scene.
EMS transported him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition with a laceration to the head.
