NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man with a cable wire robbed a 74-year-old woman at her Brooklyn mailbox in the middle of the day, police said Tuesday as they released video footage of the suspect.
The victim was walking to her mailbox at a residential building near Avenue X and Batchelder Street in Sheepshead Bay around 12:25 p.m. on Oct. 3 when the man cornered her, according to police.
The crook menaced her with a cable wire and demanded cash, police said.
The woman handed over $20, and the man fled on foot.
No injuries were reported in the robbery.
