NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Manhattan grand jury indicted a 35-year-old man for a stabbing spree over the course of five days that killed two and injured two more, according to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Roland Codrington allegedly slashed 51-year-old James Cunningham’s throat outside an East Village bar on Dec. 19 and left him to bleed to death on the sidewalk.

Three days later, he stabbed two people at an East Harlem bar who tried to intervene when they saw him harassing a woman, according to prosecutors.

The day after that, Codrington allegedly stabbed Dr. Bruce Henry, 60, more than 30 times in Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem.

Authorities said Codrington took Henry’s keys and sped off in his car. The doctor, a pediatrician, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested Codrington inside Henry’s car in the Bronx.

Prosecutors charged him with murder, attempted murder, assault, attempted assault and stolen property offenses.

“Roland Codrington allegedly wreaked havoc across the city in a crime spree that left two dead,” said Bragg. “Manhattanites deserve to live their daily lives without the fear of being attacked. My thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims.”
