The 15-second video opens with shots of the Brooklyn Bridge, City Hall and Adams blending the smoothie in a NutriBullet to Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love.”

It then cuts to a shot of Adams holding the smoothie, looking out the window of his City Hall office, and saying, “Bing bong, New York City. Your mayor’s on TikTok. Let’s get stuff done.”

The “bing bong” is a reference to the meme spawned by the New York City man-on-the-street show “Sidetalk.” The phrase references the sound subway doors make when they close.

“Good morning, TikTok! Grab your smoothie and make it a great week to #GetStuffDone,” the mayor captioned his first post.

His @NYCMayor account had just under 80 followers as of Monday morning.
