NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A teen boy was bashed in the head with a bottle, beaten and robbed by a group of people who “lured” him to a location in Midtown, police said Tuesday as they released images of six suspects.

The 17-year-old victim was cornered by five males and one female after being led to W. 41st Street and Ninth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen around 3:45 p.m. on April 16.

It's unclear if he knew anyone in the group, but he tried to run away and was pulled to the ground, punched and kicked by multiple people, according to police.

During the attack, one person in the group struck him in head with a glass bottle and stole the chain from around his neck, police said.

He managed to run to the next block, where his attackers threw his backpack and smashed his iPad, according to police.

The suspects were last seen heading eastbound on 41st Street toward Ninth Avenue after the attack.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated for a laceration to the head.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
