NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A mother and her four children were injured after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run crash on a Brooklyn street Wednesday evening, authorities said.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. at Avenue J and East 32nd Street in Midwood as two of the children were getting off a school bus while the mother was waiting with the rest of the kids.
The children’s ages range between 1 and 8 years old.
Emergency responders transported the five victims to Maimonides Medical Center where they are all in stable condition.
The driver fled the scene, but police found the vehicle about 10 blocks away at the intersection of Glenwood Road and East 24th Street, unoccupied. Cops are still searching for the driver.
