VIDEO: Motorcyclist with 'LILITH' plate flees after striking man, 85, in Manhattan

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Police are searching for a motorcyclist who they said struck an elderly man in Manhattan in mid-November and fled the scene.

According to authorities, the victim, an 85-year-old man, was crossing Pearl Street in the Financial District around 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 18 when he was struck by an unknown motorcyclist.

The unidentified driver stopped the motorcycle, pulled the victim to the side of the roadway and then remounted his motorcycle and left the scene, police said.

The victim suffered severe trauma to his body and was transported by EMS in serious but stable condition to New York Downtown Hospital.

Authorities released photos and video of the motorcyclist, which showed the vehicle had a New York vanity license plate with the word “LILITH” on it.
