MTA cleaner, 71, sucker-punched in face at Brooklyn subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 71-year-old cleaner contracted by the MTA was punched in the face in an unprovoked attack last Wednesday inside a Brooklyn subway station.

According to police, the woman was cleaning the F train platform at the Stillwell Avenue–Coney Island train station around 3:30 p.m. when an unknown woman approached her and slugged her in the face.

The suspect then fled onto an incoming northbound F train.

EMS responded and treated the injured woman at the scene.

Police said the assailant is described as having short dark colored hair, is around 40 years old, about 5'1" tall and weighs around 110 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a pink colored t-shirt with the word "hope", dark colored pants and black sandals.
