NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An MTA bus driver faces a long list of charges after he allegedly mowed down his wife with an SUV as three kids were in tow and then crawled out of the overturned vehicle and stabbed her in the driveway of a Queens home.
Stephen Giraldo, 36, was charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
He's an MTA bus driver who has since been suspended without pay, according to two sources.
Police allege Giraldo purposely ran down his 41-year-old wife with a white Ford Explorer outside a home at Parsons Boulevard and Franklin Avenue in Flushing around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The SUV overturned with three boys—ages 11, 9 and 6—inside the vehicle. The kids are believed to be the couple's, but police weren't able to immediately confirm that.
After the crash, Giraldo climbed out of the wrecked SUV and stabbed his wife in the stomach with a knife, police said.
She was transported to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Queens in critical condition.
The boys were not hurt in the crash, police said.
A knife was recovered on the street near the crash scene.
Police said the attack stemmed from some sort of domestic dispute.
Residents were shaken by the brazen assault, with one man calling it “really mind-blowing” in the generally quiet area.
“Maybe the holidays get to people,” another resident said.
