NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man who they say attacked an on-duty MTA worker at a Queens subway station.

The NYPD released surveillance images Tuesday of the suspect in the Dec. 17 attack at the 179th Street station in Jamaica.

A 36-year-old MTA employee was on an F platform at the station when a man stormed up to her around 5:20 a.m. and punched her in the back of her head, police said.

The worker refused medical attention at the scene.

Her attacker, believed to be in his 30s or early 40s, ran out of the station. Video shows an MTA worker chasing him through an exit gate after the attack.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
