The bus slammed into the support pillar around 8:30 a.m. at Boston Road and West Farms Road, near the West Farms Square–East Tremont Avenue station, the FDNY said.

Surveillance video shows the bus drifting slowly into the pillar.

Twelve passengers, including three children, suffered minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals.

The driver, a 14-year veteran of the MTA whose sister is also a bus driver, was taken to at St. Barnabas Hospital, where she was in critical condition.

The driver was being treated for cardiac arrest, according to officials.

The MTA said it appears the bus driver suffered cardiac arrest before the collision and that it wasn’t a result of the crash.
