Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said the Union City Police Department’s Special Victims Unit investigated an unspecified incident in which the baby’s back and thigh were injured while under the care of Raquel Bravo, 24.
Police arrested Bravo at her Union City residence and charged her with one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
If found guilty of the crime, Bravo could face five to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $150,000.
Bravo is being held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
