Jelani Green died in September, more than two months after she was shot in the neck at the Half-Nelson Playground on Nelson Avenue in Morris Heights.

Green, who the Daily News reported worked as a hairdresser, was watching her older brother play basketball in an annual tournament on June 19 when gunfire broke out.

"Our game was finished," her brother David Love, 32, told the outlet. "We were getting dressed, everybody leaving the park."

Green was shot by a Highbridge gang member who had been firing at a rival from the River Park Towers gang, sources told the Daily News.

The single shot that first paralyzed her from the neck down also tore into her shoulder and spine, according to the report.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
