The alleged assault took place at the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park on the border of Plainsboro and South Brunswick on Sept. 28 2021 around 4:45 p.m., officials said.
Rogelio Calyeca Postrero, 38, allegedly sexually assaulted and robbed a woman at knife point after dragging her into a wooded area.
Prosecutors charged him with kidnapping, sexual assault, robbery and weapons offenses.
That’s in addition to other sexual assault, lewdness and fraud charges connected to two other sexual assaults that reportedly took place in July 2021 and May 2022.
He was already being held in Somerset County Jail for those charges, when police connected him to the third attack.
Investigators originally linked Postrero to the other sexual assaults after arresting him on Aug. 4 for masturbating in public.
