
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman was attacked by a thief who removed her clothes, sexually assaulted her and stole her purse on a Brooklyn street this week, police said Friday as they released images of the suspect.

The horrifying assault took place around 4 a.m. Sunday as the woman was walking at Eighth Avenue and 58th Street in Sunset Park.
The man came up, repeatedly punched her and then pushed her to the ground, police said.
He then removed her pants and her shirt before touching her breasts and privates, according to police.
The man grabbed her purse before fleeing the area on a bicycle. He was last seen headed westbound on 58th Street towards Seventh Avenue.
The victim suffered bruising and lacerations throughout her body. EMS transported her to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.
Her purse contained a cellphone, keys and cash, police said.
