NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police said Thursday that they arrested the man who allegedly attempted to rape a woman in downtown Flushing but was stopped by a good Samaritan.
Wilson Kim, 41, attacked the 47-year-old woman around 2 a.m. Sunday near 147th Street and Roosevelt Avenue, police said.
Kim allegedly pushed the woman to the ground and "made sexually motivated comments to her." Cops said he then proceeded to touch the victim inappropriately on the body and attempted to pull down her pants.
Fortunately, police said a good Samaritan was walking by and intervened, causing Kim to flee. The woman was treated by EMS at the scene.
Kim, of Woodside, is now charged with attempted rape, sex abuse, forcible touching, assault and sexual misconduct.
