SEEN HIM? Man sought for shoving subway rider onto tracks at UES station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police released surveillance footage of a suspect Thursday after a subway rider was shoved onto the tracks at an Upper East Side station this week.

The victim was pushed off the northbound 6 platform at the 77th Street station at Lexington Avenue around 9:40 p.m. Monday in what police said was an unprovoked attack.

Good Samaritans helped pulled the victim off the train tracks before a train arrived. He suffered scratches and bruising but ultimately refused medical attention at the scene.

Police said the victim has not been identified and that the report was filed by a witness.

The suspect fled the station after the attack and was still being sought. Police believe he’s in his 30s.
