NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Filmmaker Spike Lee was spotted at the new mass vaccination site at Yankee Stadium on Friday.

A long line of Bronx residents formed outside the stadium Friday morning as it opened as a vaccination site run by the city and state.

Lee was seen talking with people as they waited in line. He was wearing a Yankees bomber jacket and hat, along with a face mask.

It’s unlikely Lee was getting vaccinated, as the site is only for Bronx residents. The “Do the Right Thing” director was raised in Brooklyn and lives in Manhattan.

Lee was spotted filming outside the stadium, although it’s unclear what he was filming for. Last spring, he released a short film that paid tribute to New Yorkers and their response to the pandemic.
