NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Spike Lee released a short film paying tribute to New York City and its people in the grip of the coronavirus crisis.

“My Short Film-NEW YORK NEW YORK Is A Love Letter To It's People,” the New York–based director wrote on his Instagram page.

The film, set to Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York,” features scenes of the city during the pandemic, including empty streets, boardwalks and subway stations.

It ends with scenes of frontline workers and everyday New Yorkers paying tribute to them.
