NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for three women who brutally beat a 20-year-old woman and then robbed her inside a Manhattan subway station early Thursday.
It happened inside the First Avenue MTA L train subway station platform in the East Village around 12:45 a.m.
The woman was approached from behind, then slammed to the ground before being beaten and kicked repeatedly, police said.
The crew forcibly removed the victim's purse, which contained her wallet and AirPods and fled the scene.
EMS transported the woman to an area hospital to be treated for a laceration, bruising and swelling to her face.
