
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) --The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating an incident that occurred as a man walked into a Queens synagogue over the weekend, authorities said Monday.
Just after 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, a 23-year-old man was walking into a synagogue located on 72nd Road in Kew Gardens when the suspect threw a small rock at him from inside of a vehicle driving by, striking his leg, police said.
The vehicle continued traveling westbound on 72nd Road toward 139th Street, officials said.
The van is described as a white Sprinter van with graffiti on the sides.
The victim was not injured and refused medical attention at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
