
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a suspect that robbed a Staten Island grocery store at knifepoint earlier this month, authorities said Tuesday.
At approximately 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, the suspect approached a deli located at 17 Corson Ave. in Brighton Heights, officials said.
Once inside, the suspect displayed a knife to a 37-year-old employee while demanding money.
The suspect then proceeded to forcibly remove approximately $500 from the cash register before fleeing the location on foot on Daniel Low Terrace onto Benziger Avenue, cops said.
The employee did not sustain any injuries as in this incident.
