Skateboarder, 25, shot after bumping into BMW in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A skateboarder was shot by a driver after he bumped into a BMW in Queens on Tuesday night, police said.

The 25-year-old victim was riding his skateboard at 11:40 p.m. when he struck the blue BMW at 39th Place and 47th Avenue in Sunnyside.

The collision led to an argument between the two of them.

During the face-off, the driver shot the skateboarder in his right leg, police said.

The driver then took off and fled northbound towards Queens Boulevard.

The victim was taken in stable condition to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst.

No arrests had been reported Wednesday as the investigation continued.
