
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who allegedly assaulted a police officer and threatened him in the Bronx last week.

The incident happened early Thursday around 12:40 a.m. at Crotona Avenue and East 187th Street in Belmont, authorities said.
As the officer was taking enforcement action on another person, the suspect approached him and pushed him to the ground before verbally threatening to further hurt him and then fleeing the scene, officials said.
The cop sustained minor lacerations to his arms and hands as a result of the push. He was treated by EMS workers at the scene.
