Suspect sought in hate-fueled harassment, assault of Jewish man, 18, on Brooklyn street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Jewish man was harassed on a Brooklyn street Thursday in an incident being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Unit, police said.

The 18-year-old victim, who was dressed in traditional Jewish attire, was in front of 512 Park Avenue in Williamsburg around 6:15 a.m. when a man came up to him, authorities said.

The suspect told the victim, "I am going to get rid of all you Jews", before trying to punch him with a closed fist but missing. He then pushed the victim to the ground and fled the scene, officials said.

The victim did not sustain any injuries and refused medical attention at the scene.

Cops said the suspect is described as having a dark complexion, 40-years-old, approximately 5'9" tall, weighing 180 lbs., medium build and bald. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, black jeans and white sneakers.
