NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Swifties are willing to pay big bucks in order to hear Taylor Swift speak at next month's NYU graduation at Yankee Stadium.

The high-profile commencement address is shaping up to be one of the hottest tickets in town, with some reportedly willing to pay up to $500 to see Swift — even though the 11-time Grammy Award winner is only speaking.
"Folks should know that Ms. Swift — whom we are very honored to have as one of our honorary degree recipients this year — will be speaking, not giving a performance," said spokesperson John Beckman.
Jamie, a student at NYU, told WCBS 880's Pete Haskell that she gets all the hype.
"Taylor Swift is kind of a big deal, she's a star," he said.
Now the university is promising "Bad Blood" to any graduating students who sell their allotted two tickets just to get a glimpse of the global icon.
A warning on their website reads, "Students will be subject to disciplinary sanctions – including, without limitation, the delayed issuance of a degree or diploma."
Diana, another student, pointed out that tickets are limited.
"I just hope the people, like the parents and family of the actual graduates, get to attend," she added.
Swift, 32, will earn an honorary doctorate in addition to giving a speech at the graduation ceremony on May 18.
It will be the first graduation held at Yankee Stadium since 2019.
