Trio of thieves target food delivery workers on mopeds in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD on Thursday released images of a trio of suspects who targeted food delivery workers on mopeds in Brooklyn.

The first incident happened at approximately 7 p.m., on Monday, February 20, while a 33-year old man had been making a food delivery on his moped, officials said.

The victim was approached by a suspect in the vicinity of Stuyvesant Avenue and Van Buren Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant who then pushed the victim and stole his moped.

The suspect fled the scene eastbound on Van Buren Street with two additional suspects that were waiting nearby.

The victim sustained no injuries.

The second incident occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. on Monday, March 6, cops said.

According to police, a 47-year old man had been making a food delivery on his moped when he was approached by a suspect in front of 157 Stuyvesant Ave. in in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The suspect knocked the victim off of his moped, punched him in the head and stole his moped.

The individual fled the scene westbound on Lexington Avenue with two additional individuals that were waiting nearby.

 The victim sustained minor cuts but did not require hospitalization.

Two of the sought individuals are described as males with light complexions.

The third sought individual is described as a male with a heavy build.
