NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released new video Tuesday of a robbery at an Upper West Side smoke shop early Monday that left a customer shot and wounded as he tried to stop the thieves.

The video shows the 29-year-old customer wrestling with a gunman behind a counter inside Lincoln Convenience at Broadway and W. 71st Street around 4:20 a.m.
The video starts with the gunman pointing a weapon at a worker and then hopping over a counter and grabbing cash from a register.
Several other suspects join the gunman behind the counter—but they quickly run away when the customer puts the gunman in a headlock and drags him to the ground, video shows.
The customer was shot in the left foot during the struggle, police said. He was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition.
The suspects fled the location and were still being sought Tuesday. Police said they made off with CBD jars and $150 in cash.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
