VIDEO: Group of 10 beats, stabs teen, steals his scooter as cars pass on Queens street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A large group of males beat and stabbed a 16-year-old boy and stole his scooter on a Queens street last week, police said Thursday as they released video of the broad-daylight attack.

The victim was on a motorized scooter with two male passengers at 37th Avenue and 82nd Street in Jackson Heights around 3:45 p.m. last Tuesday when a group of 10 males came up and demanded his vehicle, according to police.

The group then repeatedly punched and kicked the 16-year-old and his passengers, police said. The teen was also stabbed once in the back.

The group stole the teen’s $1,300 scooter, $500 iPhone, backpack and $20 in cash, according to police.

The 10 suspects were last seen fleeing down Roosevelt Avenue.

A good Samaritan took the teen to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was in stable condition.
