NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 25-year-old man was robbed last weekend in Brooklyn by a stranger he met on the subway and invited over to his apartment for beers before their plans went sour, police said.

According to authorities, the victim met the suspect while riding the train on the morning of Feb. 20, and the two shared a conversation.
The victim asked the suspect if he would like to go to his apartment to drink a couple of beers, and he agreed.
The two were talking in front of the victim's apartment building near Cedar Street and Myrtle Avenue when an argument broke out, and the suspect punched the victim several times in the face and body, then took his Apple iPhone 13 and $200 before fleeing in an unknown direction.
Police said the victim sustained a minor laceration to his face. EMS responded and transported him to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
The suspect is described as weighing 150 pounds, with a thin build, approximately 5'7" tall, with a goatee and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the front, a blue backpack, a black knit cap, grey sweatpants and sneakers.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
