VIDEO: Man on UWS subway beaten, robbed by group of teens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released surveillance of a group of five teen suspects wanted for violently robbing a man on a Manhattan subway over the weekend.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, on a southbound 2 train approaching West 66 Street and Broadway on the Upper West Side, officials said.

According to police, a 21-year-old man was approached by the group who began to repeatedly punch and kick him, causing a bloody nose and taking the victim's wallet containing $80, an identification card, and a MetroCard.

The suspects also stole a pair of Galaxy headphones, the NYPD said.

The total value of property removed is approximately $520.

EMS responded and treated the victim for minor injuries on scene.

All five suspects are described as males, approximately 13-18 years old.
