NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man grabbed an Asian woman and pulled her hair in a random attack on a Brooklyn street, police said Wednesday.

It's one of the latest attacks on Asian Americans in the city this year. The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.

The 32-year-old woman was in front of a business at 1308 Kings Highway in the Homecrest neighborhood around 7:45 a.m. on March 22 when the man grabbed her, according to police.

Video released by the NYPD on Wednesday shows the man pulling the woman’s hair as she struggles to get away.

Police said no words were exchanged and no property was taken during the attack. The man walked away down Kings Highway after the assault.

The woman suffered pain to her head and neck but refused medical attention at the scene, according to police.

About four blocks away from the attack, a 77-year-old Asian man was pushed to the ground at random outside a market in Sheepshead Bay this week, police said Wednesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
