VIDEO: Man slashes Bronx smoke shop worker in face, remains at large

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man slashed a Bronx smoke shop worker across the face over the weekend, police said Wednesday as they released video of the attack.

The suspect is still being sought for Saturday morning’s slashing at Bx-otics, a business at Jerome and E. Burnside avenues in University Heights.

The 42-year-old employee was working at the store around 11:25 a.m. when a man got into an argument with him.

Video shows the man lunging at the worker with a sharp object and slashing him across the face.

EMS responded and transported the worker to New York-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The suspect fled the shop in an unknown direction, police said.
