NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two men bumped into each other in a Manhattan subway station, sparking an argument that led to one of the men throwing a drink and the other man pulling out a large knife and slashing him during a chaotic squabble, police said.
The NYPD released surveillance video Thursday of the confrontation at the West Fourth Street–Washington Square station in Greenwich Village.
Police said a group of three men and the suspect “made incidental physical contact” as they passed each other on a stairwell leading up to the A/C platform just after 8 p.m. on Sunday.

An argument erupted and a 28-year-old man in the group threw a beverage at the suspect, who then whipped out a large knife, police said.
The suspect threatened the group and then slashed the 28-year-old in his left hand before fleeing on a northbound A or C train, according to police.

The victim was treated at the scene by EMS and is expected to be OK.
