NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man beat a woman in an East Harlem subway elevator before dragging her on the ground and robbing her, police said Wednesday as they released video of the attack in their search for a suspect.
The 36-year-old victim was inside of an elevator at the 125th Street station at Lexington Avenue around 10:25 p.m. last Monday when the man entered and began hitting her, police said.
Video shows the man attacking the woman before dragging her out of the elevator by her legs.
Police said the man stole $50 from her and fled.
The victim suffered swelling to her face and refused medical attention.
