NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An overturned kayaker was rescued on Monday, the second rescue by the NYPD Aviation's Air Sea Rescue from Jamaica Bay in days, according to a tweet from the department.
According to police, a 911 call alerted authorities to the overturned kayaker near Canarsie Pier.
The team deployed two divers who safley hoisted the man onboard after rescuing him, officials said.

The video tweeted by NYPD Special Operations showed the divers successfully hauling the man to safety.
Monday's rescue came five days after divers rescued a 45-year-old man whose boat overturned in Jamaica Bay on June 15, PIX 11 reported.
