NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A pregnant woman was beaten in the head with a wrench in a daytime attack on a Bronx street, video released Friday shows.

The 26-year-old woman was assaulted by a man on the Grand Concourse, near E. Fordham Road, in the Fordham Heights section around 5:20 p.m. on June 6.

Video shows a crowd gathering as a man strikes the woman in the head with a metal wrench. The man then gets in a car and takes off.

The woman was struck in the head multiple times with the wrench, police said.

She suffered a severe laceration to her head and was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she was in stable condition.

Police released images of the silver BMW they’re searching for in connection with the assault.
